June 2024 Village Happenings!
JUNE 2024 VILLAGE HAPPENINGS!
- We would like to remind everyone of some key points from our Animal Control Bylaw regulations regarding animal control and maintenance:
- It is the animal owner’s responsibility of any animal to clean up any and all fecal matter from that animal. You are guilty of an offense, and subject to penalties if you do not clean up your own pet’s fecal matter.
- Animals must be on a leash while off the premises of the owner.
- You may be guilty of an offence if an animal is barking or howling and it is in the opinion of the Peace Officer that this is causing an unreasonable disturbance.
- You are not able to have more than four animals at any one time.
- Section 4.1 states that the Peace Officer may seize and impound ANY animal found at large. Please do not allow your pets to wander at large! This includes dogs as well as cats.
- No animals other than dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rodents or reptiles shall be kept in the Municipality.
- You are allowed a maximum of four poultry, fowl, or ornamental birds on your property.
