Becoming an Elected Official is an excellent way to serve your community yet it requires a certain amount of time and effort. The information below outlines some of the expectations and requirements of Elected Officials in the Village of Milo.
Please note that every candidate should read and reference the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) for all regulations. These documents can be found at:
Nomination Day is Monday, September 18, 2017 from 9am to noon. A candidate is required to bring their nomination papers with 5 signatures and a check or cash for $100.
There will be a forum sponsored by the Friends of the Milo Library on Monday, October 2nd.
The Advance Poll in Milo will be Wednesday, October 4th, from 7 to 9 PM, in the Village Office.
Election Day is Monday, October 16, 2017, from 10 AM to 8 PM in the Milo Community Hall.
